Latest gadget from apple. Ipad. Basically a bigger itouch, smaller laptop. Not even a laptop la, it's just the screen of a lappie. Quite cool.

But all the products are somewhat similar aren't they? I mean all the same functions. They just keep coming up with the same functions packaged in different shapes and sizes. Even design is somewhat similar. Why would I need an ipad if I've a MacBook, iPhone and itouch?

Okay so this is what happens to a typical consumer. I buy an iPod. And then I get the upgraded one with a coloured screen. And then I get the smaller version of the same thing (iPod nano). And then I get the even smaller version of the same thing with streamlined functions (iPod shuffle). And then I get back the same thing with upgraded functions (iPod nano with video). And then I get the same thing in different colours.

And then I get the mac com. And I decide oh I need a MacBook. And then I upgrade to MacBook pro and finally MacBook air.

In the meantime, I get the itouch too. And of cos the iPhone 2g, then iPhone 3g, then iPhone 3gs. And now, I'm lusting for the ipad.

And how could I forget the earphones, earphones with plugins, earphones with remote control, mouse, magic mouse, dock with speakers, blah blah blah.

(not sure if the order of the products I mentioned is correct. Who cares. You get the picture right?)

Their marketing gimmick is realllllllly good. Apple products are associated with 'cool', 'brilliant' and 'state of the art'. And everytime got new product launch, pple's reaction confirm is 'wah I want!'.

Can somebody tell me whyyyy? Haha. I mean I don't deny that their products are damn chio but there are other brands that have chio stuff too. Sony vaio has one lappie in champagne gold. Sibei swee. Haha.

I'm neutral towards apple products la. Only other apple thing which I have besides the iPhone (which I love btw) is the iPod nano which I nv did use. It was a present. I think if I were to choose apple products to buy, I would get the MacBook air and iPhone. Don't think I would need anything else man. Haha.

Dunno why I started this long post on apple products. I nv bother to find out what apple stuff can do so this is actually a very myopic blogpost. Lalala. Apple lovers, pls don't stone me. I come in peace.

I only started this blogpost cos I was reading Twitter and I came across tweets abt the launch of the ipad. And then I was facebooking and someone posted a video of the ipad. So I got curious and went to apple.com to check it out. Afterwhich I decided to blog and from the short paragraph I started, I very long windedly wrote many more paragraphs. Hahaha. Sorry sorry.

I'm actually a techie idiot so such things normally don't interest me. Lala. Omg it's 522am sg time. Nearly 3am chennai time. And here I am blogging abt such frivolous stuff. I'm a sucker. Haha.
