Okays! Finally, a long blog post. Went to Batam over the weekend. Let me confess sth bimbotic here. I never knew Batam was part of Indonesia! ahahahhaa. =D lalallaa. aiyah, not important anyway right? hee.
Shall let the photos do the talking as usual.. Not that many photos for this trip cos my phone was kept in my bag most of the time.. but it's just Batam, so not much loss here. haha.
MY NEW HAT! =D $47.90 from Accessorize, Ion Orchard. 2D1N trip nia, so no need to bring so many things.. Can squeeze everything into that bag.
Early in the morning, on the way to sembawang yacht club.
Admiralty lor. Super far from my house. haha.
Parking lots for boats.. You know how they bring the boats to shore to park? There's this tractor-like vehicle with some funny thing attached to its back. At the habour (or jetty or dock or whatever the place is called), there will be a slope that leads to the sea. The tractor will reverse downwards the slope and the thing behind it will be half submerged into the waters. The boat will then drive onto that thing and the tractor will drive up, pulling the boat onto its funny thing. It sorta operates like a tow truck.
Our mode of transport to Batam. 1st time going out to sea on a private yacht!
You know how they clear immigration on open waters? There will be this area whereby you stop and let your boat drift while waiting for the immigration boat to come and stamp your passport. The immigration boat has a guy who will hold a fishing net and you'll need to put your passport into a plastic bag and drop it into the fishing net. He will then retract the net and pass the passport to the immigration officer in the boat who will then stamp your passport. (Before the trip, you will need to submit your details to the immigration dept or sth alr) So after he has stamped your passport, the guy will put the passport back into the fishing net and extend it out to you and you will take it back from the fishing net. cool ah.
I actually uploaded a photo of us here, but I removed it because I suddenly remembered this...
You know what the bugger did?
I took a photo of him which he thought looked spastic. So he asked me to delete it, and I said no, i'll post it. Then he said okay let me see.. and he took my phone and clicked on the photos icon.
I attempted to take my phone back cos I didnt want him to delete the photo.
Him: "I won't delete the photo la, I just want to see it.."
okay, so of cos let him see right..
So, he went to see the photo which I took and then..
Him: "Looks retarded lor."
AND THEN HE JUST WENT TO DELETE IT.
without saying anything.
WAH LAO! YOU TELL ME DULAN A NOT!!!
super went back on his word la. where got this kind of people one!!!!!!
DULAN MAX.
never going to trust whatever he says anymore man. and not going to post anymore photos of him.
hmpfffhh. feel pissy again.
I should really just stick to my mantra and NEVER trust what men say. Grrr....
Arriving at Batam!
Place we were going to stay at. Nongsa Point, if I never remember wrongly.
Went to the city to get a massage and mani pedi. No photos! Forgot to take.
Aromatherapy massage, S$22 for 1.5 hours.
Classic french mani and pedi for S$38.
Oh the things in their supermarket is super cheap la.. I bought 4 towels for S$15 bucks!! haha i know i'm damn auntie. go batam buy towels haha. BUT IT'S CHEAP!! =D
Seafood dinner at Harbour Bay.
Tried to take a photo of the food without the faces. Quite a good attempt okay! I was covering part of my phone camera with my finger. haha. I'm retarded i know.
Played pool and beered in the night back at Nongsa. Never take photos. My bad. =D
Woke up at 1.45pm the next day. Checked out at 2pm.
Stopped by a kelong off Pulau Ubin for seafood dinner.
At the kelong! Mr and Mrs Tan, owners of the kelong.
From this...
To this!
The best dish was this crabmeat omelette. Good stuff man. Sorry never take photo. haha. So good, I wanna go back again just for the omelette. Oh and I'm allergic to seafood. haha. But the omelette is super worth it la. loves. To eat there, must call Mr Tan and advance booking and advance ordering one. He got namecard one okay. Mai siao siao.
Have to take a ferry to Pulau Ubin, then depending on his availability, can call him to pick you up from the jetty on his boat. Next time I try alr then I tell you all again.
After dinner, stopped by another kelong to buy live fish.
They're cleaning the fish nets!
It's amazing how they build and live on kelongs.
Went to Jalan Kayu for chocolate prata when we reached Singers.
Om nom nom.
And then, wanted to go bathe when my brother rushed into the toilet to shit. So I camwhored.
Pedicured toenails is love.
My hat!
Okay. That's all for this blogpost. haha. Super tired already. Cannot believe I need to work tmr. -__-
Melli's birthday has just past and Sabby's birthday is coming. Gonna celebrate this coming weekend I think =D Cant wait!
