Is it strange that people leave work at official off-work hours?
I find it absurd that people actually make snide comments when they see me leave office at 5.40pm. Or even 6pm. Fuck, even 7pm is considered early to some. I'm only talking abt snide comments made by people you're not particularly close to. Cos you know they actually mean some part of it, if not what for they say such things to you when they're not close to you?! Zzzz.
And it's like they only see you going off at 5.40pm on one of the days during the week and they xin li bu ping hen alr. Like hello?!?! Give me a break.
Honestly, what time do you expect your subordinates/fellow co-workers/superiors to work till everyday? 9, 10pm when there's no OT hours or OT pay or urgent deadline or whatever nonsense people expect you to stay back for. Zzz. Does it make you feel better if everyone else went back the same time as you did?
I'm so pissy cos I feel so retarded feeling guilty (not guilty guilty, but just like I feel like I'm doing something obscene) for leaving 'early' when there's nothing wrong with it and in fact, it's the work culture that is ill and needs some major restructuring in people's mindset.
It's OFF PEAK!!! Come on, have some respect for other people's private life, yo. Don't expect everyone's priorities in life to mirror yours.
Sigh. Pmsing plus Work = depression. :(((((
